The name of each Gazco gas fire i.e. Evolution relates to the design of the fascia frame / trim. Now as Gazco manufacture a range of different gas fires to go behind each fascia frame / trim, such as hot box fires, convector box fires, VFC convector box fires, open fronted and glass fronted gas fires, including balanced flue and powerflue fires. The fascia frame / trim may alter slightly in design by way of dimensions or a cross bar to cover any convection outlets on the fire. So, although the overall general appearance remains the same it must be appreciated that it is impossible to show images of each and every fire with every exact fascia frame / trim combination. We therefore suggest before purchasing that you contact Gazco for clarification and or visit a local retailer with a display to be sure you are happy with the overall apperance of the fire before proceeding to make any purchase. This fire does not require any electrical supply, but it may require a deep rebated fire surround / mantelpiece subject to the amount of depth you have within your external wall together with either a natural gas or liquid propane supply. Also be aware that due to the fire producing heat the interior of the fire may become marked over time through general wear and tear which is quite normal and to be expected. The inside of the glass may also require cleaning from time to time due to condensation that may form on the inside of the glass. Please also note that whilst soot deposits on a gas fire are quite normal and to be expected, they will be more visable on a pebble fuel effect. Gazco standard remote control option allows the flame height to vary between high and low from your armchair once the pilot has been ignited manually. Whereas the thermostatic remote offers all the same benefits as the standard remote control, you also have the added benefit of being able to programme the fire to switch itself on and off twice a day and to heat the room to the temperature you select.
