NOTE: Please ensure to have a survey carried out by a Gas Safe Register registered gas installer to check and certify the compatibility of your chimney or flue with this fire before making any purchase to avoid disappointment. When installing this product into a chimney you will either need to install a 5" flexible liner (NOT INCLUDED WITHIN THE PRICE OF THE FIRE) regardless of the age of the chimney as detailed in the installation instructions or you can purchase the optional extra flue connection kit (8736) which is easier, quicker and less expensive to have installed as there is no need to get on the roof of the property to install a liner. The flue connection kit includes a 500mm length of pipe which connects to the top of the fire and stands vertically up inside the chimney. If you intend to install this fire in to a property without a chimney, then the flue pipe must have a minimum internal diameter of 5", be of rigid material and twin wall lined. Gazco thermostatic remote control option allows the flame height to vary between high and low from your armchair once the pilot has been ignited manually and also have the added benefit of being able to programme the fire to switch itself on and off twice a day and to heat the room to the temperature you select.NOTE A marble slip with a minimum width of 150mm is reccomended around all installations and no combustible material including wallpaper should be less than 150mm from this appliance. Also be aware that due to the fire producing heat the interior of the fire may become marked over time through general wear and tear which is quite normal and to be expected. The inside of the glass may also require cleaning from time to time due to condensation that may form on the inside of the glass. Gazco standard remote control option allows the flame height to vary between high and low from your armchair once the pilot has been ignited manually. Whereas the thermostatic remote offers all the same benefits as the standard remote control, you also have the added benefit of being able to programme the fire to switch itself on and off twice a day and to heat the room to the temperature you select.
