When installing this product you will also need to to construct a false chimney breast to accept the depth of the fire and line it with non combustible material. The standard balanced flue kit Code 8567, supplied with this fire comes off the top of the fire and raises up vertically, then bends and flues horizontally, comprising of 1 x 940mm straight pipe, 1 x 90 degree bend and 1 x 462mm terminal length which vents horizontally through the external wall to the outside of the property. If this fire is intended to be installed below 2 metres from the ground then an optional extra terminal guard will need to be installed as well (see the optional extras section above for details). The Gazco remote control included with this fire allows the flame height to vary between high and low from your armchair and has a fully automatic lighting sequence so there is no need to have a standing pilot as the fire will light directly from the handset. This unique remote also has a thermostatic option which enables you to programme the fire to heat the room to the temperature you select. In the event that you mislay the remote or the batteries run out don't worry, as there's even an electronic touch pad should you need to access a manual control facility. Also be aware that due to the fire producing heat the interior of the fire may become marked over time through general wear and tear which is quite normal and to be expected. Due to the number of size measurements on this fire it is strongly recommended that you have the appliance on site / in your possession to take accurate measurements from before proceeding to create any false breast to avoid potential mistakes being made.
